Carmen was born and raised in Hong Kong, and she moved to America in 2020. Although she grew up speaking Chinese, Carmen began learning English in preschool and eventually completed a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature, a Master of Arts in Linguistics, and two teaching certifications focusing on language acquisition. Her teaching experience covers early childhood, elementary, and adult education, and she also has years ofexperience in curriculum development, accreditation, and quality assurance. Carmen came across the Montessori method of education after the birth of her first child, and she fell in love with the philosophy. She believes a carefully prepared environment is crucial to develop children’s love of learning and their independence. She looks forward to witnessing the growth and development of the children in their practical, cognitive, and socio-emotional skills.
